Tim Racicot, Adult MoCI Teacher
The Adult MoCI classroom consists of students who are 21-26 years old and have moderate to severe cognitive impairments. We use an online curriculum, called Unique Learning Systems, to meet our student's individual needs. Our concentration is on both transition and academic skills. The Transitional Life Skills which we cover are Vocational, Daily Living, Personal and Life and Community activities. The Academic skills we concentrate on are writing, reading ,mathematics, communication, science, and social studies skills. Our classroom uses the latest technology to help student achievement which includes iPads, computer stations, a SMARTboard and other technological devices. Students are also engaged in many community based outings to encourage employment opportunities once they graduate. The program encourages students to do as much as possible for themselves to make them more independent at home, school, and in the community. Tim may be contacted by phone at (906) 789-9476 ext. 16 or by email at [email protected]. Our classroom website is currently under construction.
